I’m sitting in JFK, waiting out our layover. It’s not that bad at all — we’ve got a good group of people and we’re all getting some reading done. I bought a New Yorker in New York. I like cheesy things like that. Plus as a journalist, it is sad that I never read it.
I thought I might see the city as we landed, but it was too foggy. We could make out buildings in the distance, but it wasn’t much of a skyline.
I hope I can sleep a bit this leg of the trip. I’m tired and it is only 4:30. We’ve got ages to go, but one thing I am quite excited about is getting another stamp in my passport.
The gate is filling up and it is a prime people-watching location. OK, time to get some reading done. The New Yorker is awaiting me and I have at least eight hours of travel still ahead of me. Ugh.
